Wiman launches global Free WiFi online discovery solution.

Previously, this important solution and service was only available to Wiman Free WiFi App users. We launched this Android App in 2015 with the aim of helping users easily access Free WiFi worldwide, save their mobile plan gigabytes and forget about data roaming charges while traveling. We decided to develop the App when we realized that 3G/4G connection was no longer enough for mobile users that needed unlimited data to fully enjoy their applications and needed to save money on their mobile data.
In a few words, we aimed to meet the growing need for true Free Mobile WiFi.

How did we do it?
The most important feature of Wiman Free WiFi App, which is the Auto-connect to the best Free WiFi in range, allowed us to map millions of Free WiFi networks all around the world and gave birth to what today is our driving force: the Wiman User Community. It is precisely due to our global and pro-active Wiman Community of users that we are building the world’s largest Free WiFi database and enable people to enjoy the Internet wherever they are, for free. After all, as we stated in a previous post, “WiFi is about people”.
We asked ourselves: why limit access to the Wiman huge Free WiFi database to only mobile users of our App and not make it available to everybody through a simple, searchable and intuitive web-based service? That’s why we thought about an online discovery solution. For every major global city, we provide both web and mobile travelers with: the total number of available Free WiFi, the most popular ones, the most relevant info about the places to find them and the map with all location-based venues with Free WiFi.
